Amanda Kloots, a fitness entrepreneur and television personality, has exemplified this as she has successfully expanded and grown her brand in both the entertainment industry and in business.

Kloots is known for co-hosting a Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show and for her fitness brand AK! Fitness. Recently, she co-wrote and starred in her first holiday film, which was executive produced by her. She has also partnered with major brands such as American Express, Vita Coco, General Mills, and Swanson W/I/O, which shows her brand’s reach and impact. Additionally, she has an upcoming children’s book, “Tell Me Your Dreams,” that is set to release in the spring. The book is inspired by a bedtime ritual she shared with her late husband, Broadway actor Nick Cordero, before his passing due to complications from COVID-19.

Kloots discovered her passion for the arts in middle school and attended a musical theater conservatory in NYC. She began her career as a Broadway dancer and Radio City Rockette, but eventually decided to leave acting to start her own fitness business. This decision was a difficult one, as it meant leaving behind a career she had worked hard to establish, but she was determined to take control of her career and create something of her own.

When she first left the studio where she had built up a large following, it was difficult for her to gain traction in her new line of work. But she persisted, practically begging her friends to join her for classes, so her classes looked full. Her persistence and hard work paid off as her brand and business began to grow and flourish.

“As a first-time entrepreneur, I really knew nothing,” Kloots says. “But I knew I wanted to be in control of my career, and that meant being persistent and working hard to make my business a success. It was not easy, but the reward of being able to create something of my own and build a brand that resonates with people made it all worth it.”
